Born to a Gujrati father and a half British and half Maharashtrian mother on April 10th, 1985, this buxom beauty has been in front of the camera since the tender age of 4. Initially she did advertisements, and later on graduating to music videos at the age of fifteen she appeared in Phalguni Pathak's melodious song Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye.

Another big hit 'Shake it daddy' opened the doors of Bollywood for her and with her very first movie Tarzaan: The Wonder Car in 2004, she made her presence felt with an outstanding performance. Ayesha won the best debut female at Filmfare for this movie. Incidentally, 'Socha na tha' was the first movie that she signed but it got delayed and Tarzaan released before it.

Her professional career has been shaping up well, her recent movies are Shadi Se Pahele, Home Delivery, Shadi No.1 and Dil Maange More. Salaam-e-Ishq: A tribute to love is her upcoming release on the box-office. Ayesha, one of the very few lucky new comers, is upbeat for having worked with the legendary Naseeruddin Shah in his maiden directorial venture Yun Hota To Kya Hota. Her upcoming projects include a performance-oriented role in Nagesh Kuknoor's Dor where she plays a house wife to a worker in Saudi Arabia. Soon she will be seen in a Ram Gopal Verma's Satthu.

In her free time Ayesha likes to listen to stories, music, read books, and spend time with her family members. Her favourite leisure is going for long drives and chatting with friends at cafes.

Ayesha Takia's sensational figure and her voluptuous assets have ranked her among the top ten India's 50 Most Desirable women alive by Zoom T.V Channel in 2006. Ayesha was reportedly dating Siddharth Koirala, brother of Manisha Koirala but recently, this eye candy lass is reported to be in head over heels in love with Farhan Azmi, of Koyla and Basillico fame son of M.P Abu Asim Azmi.

Tanisha Mukherjee (born 1 January 1978 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India), known as Tanisha, is a Bollywood actress. Tanisha is of Bengali-Marathi descent. Tanisha comes from a prominent film industry family, which has been working in Bollywood since 1940s. Her relatives include paternal grandfather Sashadhar Mukherjee, uncles Joy Mukherjee and Deb Mukherjee, great-grandmother Rattan Bai, grandmother Shobhna Samarth and aunt Nutan.

Her father is Somu Mukherjee and her mother is actress Tanuja. Her sister is popular actress Kajol whilst her cousins are Mohnish Behl, Sharbani Mukherjee and Rani Mukherjee. Tanisha's paternal grandfather was a film director and producer who had left a great achievement in the Bombay film industry and was regarded as a stalwart. His wife Satirani Devi, Tanisha's grandmother was the sister of three great film personality Ashok Kumar, Anoop Kumar and Kishore Kumar.

She made her debut with Sssshhh (2003) opposite Dino Morea. The film did not do well. Following releases didn't do very well at the box office either. Tanisha's first hit film was Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar (2005), which starred film legend Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan. Recently, she played the female lead character of Nikkita "Nikki" Bakshi in "Neal N Nikki", which failed to make an impact at the box office.

On Tanisha, Director Pavan S. Kaul says 'She's a natural'. 'Tanisha is a co-operative actress, she will go a long way', says Dino. Her co-star Karan Nath says, 'It was a good experience working with Tanisha, she's talented, she's confident'.
